Supersize your TV archive with the SnapStream Storage Node. When you're maxing out the 30TB of storage on a single SnapStream, you may be tempted to delete TV content or burn it to DVD to free up space. Moving that content offline removes the ability to search TV by keyword. Now you can compound your storage capacity to build a really deep archive, while retaining the coveted search factor, so you can pull up a clip from five years ago in five seconds. On the flip side, third-party storage can be integrated with per gig licensing fees.

The SnapStream ShowSqueeze Node optimizes file size and quickly converts MPEG-2 to H.264 or WMV with seamless integration to your SnapStream. ShowSqueeze natively performs your transcoding tasks, but for bulk batches on a time crunch, it makes sense to delegate the workload. As an integrated solution, it does what a third-party solution cannot, which is organically preserve the search meta data. You'll keep your TV library organized and spacious, with each TV recording occupying only a fraction of its original size. And in playback, the eye can't discern the slightest pixel of difference.

The all-in-one TV search appliance

The Small Business Edition is perfectly suited for the independent or smaller scale operation with fine-tuned television monitoring needs. It's capable of recording 6 channels at once and storing 3,400 hours (3 TB) of TV recordings—all searchable, of course. Although it cannot be expanded or clustered, the Small Business Edition packs the same robust features that are built into any SnapStream, providing access to recorded TV right from your PC.
