Features
Skins
With the Beyond Media SDK you will learn both the basic and advanced
topics for skinning Beyond Media. The skinning engine is a very powerful tool.
It allows you to set up defaults for the entire application or to change one
particular graphic on a particular screen. If you want to move things around
on a screen, no problem. If there are items that you would like to add to a
screen, that’s a snap too.
Plug-ins
The Beyond Media SDK exposes the objects that SnapStream developers used when creating Beyond Media screens. This gives you access to a hierarchy of media manipulation objects as well as a library of widgets already designed to work from 10 ft away. If there is a widget that you can’t find, you can write it yourself and use it throughout your plug-in.
Language Independent
One of the coolest features of the Beyond Media SDK is the fact that it is built on .NET technology. If you don’t know C#, no problem, give VB.NET a whirl. You have equal access to the media objects and widgets from any .NET supported language.
Samples
The Beyond Media SDK comes with skinning and plug-in samples as well as a high level overview of each. Once you have read through the overviews and looked at the samples, you should be raring to go.
Documentation
All exposed objects and widgets are documented in an MSDN style reference for easy lookup.
