Time Shifting

Time Shifting allows you to control your live TV viewing experience much like you control a recording. When you begin watching live TV, Beyond TV begins recording the program in the background creating a "buffer". Time Shifting features allow you to navigate this buffer by pausing, rewinding, or fast forwarding. Time Shifting features are only available when Beyond TV is recording in the MPEG-2 file format, which is enabled by default. The chart below details the keyboard commands to control the various Time Shifting features.

Note: Each time you change channels when watching live TV, Beyond TV creates a new buffer and the previous buffer is discarded.
