ShowSqueeze™ is the process of converting a recording (a media file) from one format to another so that it can be used in a different way. Changing format involves changing recording quality and, in some cases, changing the file type. Beyond TV 3.5 allows you to recompress both Windows Media files (.wmv) and MPEG-2 (.mpg) recordings. The recompressed show, however, will always be a Windows Media file.
