The Audio and Video Inputs page displays a list of all the possible inputs that the software can use to make recordings or listen to FM Radio. It also allows the user to edit existing inputs and to create new inputs manually.

Use the Up and Down buttons to adjust the order in which the software will use the capture device. The top listed video source capable of making a given recording will be used to record. For example, in a setup connected to both Digital Cable and Analog (basic) Cable, most users like their Digital Cable input on the bottom of the stack so that it is used only when absolutely necessary.

Use the Disable button to prevent Beyond TV from using one of the devices. For a disabled input, the Enable button will be available.

Use Create New Video Source to manually create a video input*, or Edit Settings to edit the appropriate input. See below for details on creating / editing inputs.

*It is highly recommended to use the Setup Wizard to accomplish these functions.

Since there is considerable variation between the configurability options available for each type of input, this information has been split into four different sections:
·Add / Edit FM Radio Input
·Add / Edit Hardware Encoder Input
·Add / Edit non-Hardware Encoder Input
Note: This section also covers hybrid inputs, e.g. a basic cable input configured on an HDTV tuner card.
·Add / Edit Digital / HDTV Input

The SnapStream Enterprise Server only allows for one type of Audio and Video Input.
·Add / Edit Hardware Encoder Input
