DVD Burning - Usage

The "Burn to DVD" option will appear in the Home menu after DVD Burning has been activated:

Access this function, or use the "Add to DVD" function in a recording's properties screen, to be taken to a separate menu:

This screen lists every recording added either through the "Add to DVD" function accessible in a recording's details screen, or via this screen by using the "Add Video" option.

Add Video
Takes the user to the Recorded Shows screen (or the latest subsection from which "Add Video" was invoked) to add a video to the DVD Burning list. Selecting a recording after executing this function will display a recording details screen like the following example:

Preview Video  
Starts playback of this video. This function is useful when determining whether or not this is the video that should be added.  
 
Add to DVD  
Queues this recording for burning in the Burn to DVD function.  
 
Back to Recorded Shows  
Returns to the Recorded Shows list to choose another recording.  
 
Note: Backing out of Recorded Shows will return the user to the "Burn to DVD" menu. Choosing "Add to DVD" will add the recording to the DVD Burning queue and return the user to the "Burn to DVD" menu.  

Remove Video
Displays a list of recordings currently selected to burn to DVD:

Selecting one of these recordings will remove it from the list without prompt.  

Switch to Data Disc / Switch to Video Disc:
Changes the "Disc Type" setting described in the DVD Burning Settings section of this document.

Note: The Disc Type must be set to Data in order to burn HD recordings.

Burn DVD
Begins burning the DVD in the background. The user may return to other tasks in the Viewscape interface while the DVD is burning; while the process is running, the DVD Burning icon will appear near the lower right of the ViewScape, to the left of the Recording icon:

The DVD will finish without prompt or alarm in the background. Once the DVD is finished burning, the following notice will appear in the Burn to DVD menu upon re-entry or if the user remained in the Burn to DVD menu when the burn completed:

Cancel DVD
Cancels burning the DVD, clearing all recordings from the Burn to DVD queue. When activated, this function will prompt the user with the following screen:

Answer "Yes" to cancel the DVD and clear the queue. Answer "No" to return to the "Burn to DVD" menu.  

Purchase DVD Plug-in
Takes the user to the SnapStream Media store to purchase the DVD Plug-in. Full activation of the DVD Plug-in is given immediately after purchase if this option is used; otherwise, the user need only restart Beyond TV for the plugin to register.
