WEBUI052

Temporary Folder
Specifies the location in which Beyond TV will store temporary files during the bruning process. NOTE: Beyond TV 4's burn engine does not create an image.

Video Format
Enables you to select the format that matches your DVD player. NTSC is the television standard used in North America, parts of South American, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and the Philippines. PAL is used in most of Europe and South and Southeast Asia, parts of South America and Africa, and Australia. By default, this option should be set to the format that is used in your country.

Disc Type
Enables you to select Video or Data. Video discs can be played in most consumer DVD players, while data discs can be read by a PC with a DVD drive. This option can also be set for each job when it is created.

Note: Only Standard Definition (SD) recordings (non-HDTV recordings) can be burned to the "Video" format. HD recordings must be burned to the "Data" format.

Eject Disc
Enabling this option will cause burned DVDs to be ejected from your computer after the burn process is complete. This is useful when burning a DVD in the background (while watching other shows) as an unintrusive indication that DVD burning has finished.

Use Smartchapters
When Enabled, will cause Beyond TV to use available SmartSkip information to configure the chapter information for a recording burned to the "Video" Disc Type. This setting is ignored when Disc Type is set to "Data." See the SmartSkip and SmartSkip Settings section of this document for more information on SmartChapters and SmartSkip.

Use Video Thumbnails
When enabled, will cause Beyond TV to use the first 10 seconds of the archived recording to represent it as a thumbnail. When set to Disabled, Beyond TV 4 will use a still image of the first frame of the recording as its thumbnail.

Thumbnail Start Time
Controls the location in each video from which the thumbnail will be drawn. This option exists because the beginning of a padded recordings will capture parts of shows other than the one that is scheduled to record, by design. For more information on padding, see Recording Settings.
