Firefly Mobile is a page on the Web Admin that allows you to control Beyond TV 4 by using a hand-held mobile device as a remote control. NOTE: Firefly Mobile is only available to users with the Administer Server Settings permission enabled. See Permission Categories for more information on permissions.
On your mobile device, open a browser and navigate to http://[COMPUTERNAME or IPADDRESS]:8129/remote
You will be able to choose between a text-based or graphical interface:
The "buttons" are hyperlinks. When clicked, they will send a command to Beyond TV 4and reload the page.
Most of the buttons function as normal remote buttons during video playback. Below are descriptions of select commands.
Option
Brings up the Video Settings menu during video playback.
Firefly
Opens Beyond TV.
Shut Down, Restart
Shuts down or restarts your PC .
Suspend
Puts your PC into Sleep mode.
Hibernate
Puts t your PC into Windows Hibernation. WARNING! Some TV tuners require a cold boot in order to load their drivers, and will not function properly when awakened from Windows Hibernation. Use extreme caution when putting your PC into Hibernation.
Remote Library
Opens your Beyond TV library on a mobile-compatible webpage.
Click on the title of a recording to play it in Beyond TV .
