Neither video nor audio in Setup Wizard

1. Check our list of unsupported tuner devices to make sure that you're not using a card that we know definitely will not work with Beyond TV.  
 
2. Ensure that the TV viewing / capturing software supplied by the manufacturer provides audio and video from the device.* If it does not, follow the manufacturer's instructions for setup. If you continue to have difficulty at this point, contact the manufacturer for support.  
 
3. Ensure that any other programs which may use the tuner device are shut down before starting the Setup Wizard.  
 
4. Ensure that you are selecting the right type of input in the Setup Wizard. Note that in some cases, numerous inputs are listed with the same name (as in the example below), but only one is correct. Try going back and selecting a different input of the same name.

5.    Ensure that you are using a supported capture device. While many capture devices that are not listed as supported may work with Beyond TV, many more will not. Consult the list of supported tuner devices to determine whether the capture device you are using is supported for use with Beyond TV.



If none of these steps solves the problem, please refer to Contacting Support for instructions on how to contact Technical Support. Please include a Beyond TV LOG file with your submission.

* PVR-250BTV users can use the "AMcap" program that appears in the "Hauppauge WinTV" Program group to verify functionality. PVR-150 and PVR-500 users can download WinTV2000 from Hauppauge.com to verify functionality (note that this will require installing the drivers provided on their site).
