Recorded Shows - Options

The "Show Options" screen, available by clicking the "Options" button on a show listed in the "Recorded Shows" section of the Web Admin, allows users to edit the properties of, or perform additional actions on, the corresponding recording.

Play: This option opens Beyond TV 4 or a Link client, if installed, to play the video. For Windows Media and DivX recordings, this option enables the user to watch the video through the Web Admin interface (or through Windows Media Player if the browser is so configured). See Beyond TV Link Integration in Video Playback Settings for more information on playing video through the Web Admin.

Download: Enables the user to download the file to the local computer. Please note that due to Internet Explorer limitations, downloads of files exceeding 2GB are not possible.

ShowSqueeze: Enables the user to schedule a ShowSqueeze (transcode) job on the recording in order to create a new copy of this recording in a different format and/or quality setting.

SmartChapters: Enables the user to initiate a SmartChapter detection job on this particular recording, which is a necessary prerequisite for the SmartSkip feature.

StreamSnip: Allows the user to schedule a StreamSnip job for this recording. NOTE: In version 4.9 and later of Beyond TV, StreamSnip is performed automatically on all HD recordings, and this option will not be available.

Edit: Allows the user to edit the details of the show, including title and description information.

Move: Enables the user to move the selected recording from its current Video Folder to another configured Video Folder. Recordings cannot be moved to Windows folders that are not video folders.

Delete: Deletes this recording.
