With a few exceptions, HDTV recording and playback works in Beyond TV just like any other recordings. These exceptions are documented here.
Recorded Shows
Each recording created by HDTV tuner cards is recorded as an MPEG-2 Transport Stream. This is a different format than standard MPEG-2, and at this time is ineligible for ShowSqueeze and SmartSkip features.
Program Guide
Digital channels will appear in the thousands range (1000 and above). Any HDTV programs on those digital channels will be indicated by an "HD" icon, as pictured in the example below.

Viewing HDTV Content
When viewing HD content in Beyond TV there are several possible formats that the video may be encoded in. These formats correspond to the popular names 480p, 720p and 1080i and all refer to the number of vertical lines of resolution present in the video content. When Beyond TV plays HD content you will be able to tell what format the video is encoded in by refering to the information bar where the format will be indicated as either 480p, 720p or 1080i.
