SnapStream is seeking an Assistant Office Manager who can grab the bull by the horns and turn our plethora of daily operational tasks into a well oiled machine. A problem solving and independent person will thrive at SnapStream. Show up wearing shorts and a ball cap; grab a free coke out of the fridge (which you will keep stocked) and then blaze away to work on your dual-monitor workstation hooked to our stupid-fast fiber internet connection. Need to go to a doctor’s appointment? No problem, we have flexible scheduling for things like that.
The perks may be nice, but they pale in comparison to the office environment you’ll experience with your motivated coworkers. We love what we do for a living. Recording and watching television is our passion, whether it’s in our homes or supporting our enterprise customers (like the Houston Rodeo, Channel 11 or the Houston Mayor’s office). The ideal office manager will share this passion and have a strong desire to support our business by helping things run smoothly. Additionally, they will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, comfortable following directions and working independently, willing to think outside the box, and comfortable with a fluid environment.
Responsibilities
Handle logistics, including air and hotel accommodations, for company-related travel
Establish and maintain office procedures and policies
Design and maintain filing systems for office records
Ensure personnel files are current
Maintain and replenish office and sales inventory
Communicate with fulfillment offices regarding sales inventory and fulfillment procedures
Help recruit candidates for open office positions
Orient new employees to the company
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence
Required Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Courteous and professional attitude
Sound work ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Extreme attention to detail and ability to focus on quality in a rapidly moving environment
Willingness to travel within the city on a daily basis
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Helpful Skills
Previous office manager experience
Knowledge of standard business accounting practices
Knowledge of Quickbooks software
College degree
