Sales Engineer

Do you a) like talking to people and b) have a passion for technology? Joining SnapStream as a sales engineer might just be the perfect fit for you.

SnapStream is seeking to hire a sales engineer to help sell SnapStream's enterprise products. As a sales engineer, you will talk to prospective customers, understand their requirements, demonstrate SnapStream's products, and answer questions, including technical questions, that arise throughout the sales process.

You should be a confident presenter with excellent communication skills and a passion for talking to people.

Job responsibilities

  • Understand SnapStream’s technologies, products and back-end systems
  • Talk to prospective customers
  • Gain a detailed understanding of their workflow and requirements
  • Prepare detailed proposals reflecting a customer's requirements
  • Address any questions, technical and non-technical, that come up
  • Share product feedback (feature requests and the like) and market knowledge with the rest of the SnapStream team
  • Traveling for customer meetings and tradeshows is a part of the job

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's college degree
  • 2+ years experience in a technical position
  • 2+ years experience in technical sales, field sales, or consulting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • General knowledge of Windows PC hardware and software
  • Passion for talking to people
  • Follow-through and problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer skills
  • Ability to efficiently plan travel and out-of-town meeting and tradeshow logistics
  • Experience with SnapStream Beyond TV and PC TV tuner cards is preferred
