Web Developer

(Posted February 2008)

Job Description

Traditional work environments typically include time-clocks, rigidness, suits, monotony and constant monitoring of the computer clock for it to hit 5:30 pm. BORING!

Here at SnapStream we have thrown the "traditional" work environment out the window. There is never a dull moment in our office. Come to work in flip-flops and t-shirt, an aggressively festive holiday sweater, or whatever makes you feel comfortable. Our dress code is super lax.

We don't stop there; we have taken the work day from an early 8 am to a 10 am start! When it comes to a working schedule SnapStream is extremely flexible. You may ask how this is possible, well when we work, we work hard. Efficiency is our motto. But if you happen to be working too hard, you can always venture into the break room! Our break room is fully stocked with drinks, food and candy. So, when that mid-afternoon slump begins to hit skate (literally) into our break room and grab a quick pick-me up. Free food not convincing enough, no worries we also have the lounge where you can play a set in Rock Band, or catch up on the Young and the Restless. Whatever it takes to get you over the mid-day hump we have it.

What we are looking for is a talented web developer that is obsessive about providing the best possible user experience for our users. Someone that has attention to detail and can quickly convert design concepts into a working web pages. The person needs to have good coding skills and who understands web technologies like data from websites and webservers. They need to be experts in HTML, CSS, SQL (Microsoft SQL 2000-05 preferred), ASP.NET development in C#, javascript and Flash and can interpret data from analytics programs and recommend the right course of action to the marketing team. Additionally, they need to be self-motivated, comfortable following direction and work independently. An individual who is willing to think outside the box and is comfortable with a fluid environment. We love what we do for a living. Recording and watching television is our passion. Overall, the work environment at SnapStream is work hard, play hard.
