Name
The name that will be used when referring to the Quality profile being edited.

Type
The video format used by the Quality profile being edited.

Compression Format
The Windows Media method used to compress the audio.

Parameters
The bitrate and frequency of the audio stream.

Use Output Settings
When checked, the software will encode the recording at the same settings at which it receives the video.

Dimensions (Pixels)
The dimensions, or resolution, of the recording. The higher this setting, the greater the clarity of pictures in the recording.

Video Input Frames per second
The frames (images) used per second in the recording. The more frames per second used, the smoother motion will appear in the recording.

Two Pass Encoding
When enabled, the software will perform the ShowSqueeze process twice, increasing quality at the cost of dramatically increasing the amount of time ShowSqueezing a given show will take.

Average Video Bitrate
Sets the average bitrate (quality level) used.

Peak Video Bitrate
Sets the maximum bitrate (quality level) used.

Enable Resize on ShowSqueeze?
Specifies that the software should adjust the dimensions of the output file to better match the bitrate specifications.

Maximum Buffer Window
Used when two-pass encoding is enabled, this value determines the size of the buffer created when encoding. A larger value ensures a lesser probability of error.

Quality Scale
Specifies the bias towards sharpness of picture or smoothness motion. A value of 0 represents maximum bias to smoothness motion, while a value of 100 represents maximum bias to sharpness of picture. A value of 50 places emphasis on neither.

Encoding Window
This setting is not used by the SnapStream Enterprise TV Server.

Keyframe Interval
Specifies the interval (in frames) at which a keyframe will be designated.

Deinterlace
Deinterlaces the video stream on encode. Enable this option if during scenes of motion (especially panning left-to-right) the edges of distinct objects look "jagged" or like the teeth of a comb.

Inverse Telecine
Telecine is a process that adds extra frames to 24 FPS films to make them play back better on 29.97FPS NTSC. Enable this option to remove these frames.
