The Email Clip function allows quick and easy sharing of clips via email. Since most clips are too large to be shared via email, Email Clip will automatically ShowSqueeze clips to create a file small enough to e-mail.
To: The E-mail address of the person receiving the clip
Confirmation E-mail address: After the clip is ShowSqueezed and sent, an e-mail will be sent to this address confirming that the clip was sent.
The default ShowSqueeze format and bitrate are listed here, as well as the anticipated file size of the clip after ShowSqueeze. If this file size is larger than the limit allowed for attachments by your mail server, your e-mail will not be sent. To change the format or bitrate for ShowSqueeze, click on More Settings to open the E-mail Clip page in the Recorded Shows menu of the Web Admin.
More Settings also provides the option to edit the body of the e-mail. By default, the body of the e-mail will include the name and date of the clip and, if the clip was a search result, the text of the search result.
Click on Send E-mail to queue the recording for ShowSqueeze. Once the ShowSqueeze job is complete, the e-mail will be dispatched automatically.
