From Receivers to Server

Follow these instructions to connect the outputs on your DirecTV receivers to the tuner cards on your Enterprise Server.

Equipment needed:

·Audio/S-Video cables  
·RCA-to-1/8" audio adapters  

Instructions:

1. For each set-top box, connect an Audio/S-Video cable to the appropriate output ports on the receiver. IMPORTANT: For each set-top box, make sure that the number on the S-Video cable matches the number on the set-top box.

2. Make sure that the Audio portion of each Audio/S-Video cable is fitted with an RCA-to-1/8" audio adapter.

3. Connect each Audio/S-Video cable to the S-Video and 1/8" audio input on one of the Enterprise Server's tuner cards.

IMPORTANT: The S-Video cables MUST be connected IN NUMERICAL ORDER on the Enterprise Server.

For rackmounted servers, input number 1 will be the top input on the tuner card closest to the power supply, input number 2 will be the bottom input on the same card, inputs 3 and 4 will be the top and bottom inputs on the card that is next closest to the power supply, and so on.

For servers in a tower case, input 1 will be the right input on the topmost card, input 2 will be the left input on the topmost card, input 3 will be the right input on the second card from the top, and so on.
