Search Guide

The "Search Guide" section of the Web Admin interface, available from the Web Admin sidebar menu, allows users to search guide data for occurrences of a text phrase.


Enter a word, or a search string (as described in the Search Help appendix), in the text field next to the "Search" button.

Clicking Advanced Options will bring up the following options:

Program Titles: Searches only within the Titles of the shows.

Program Descriptions: Searches only within the Descriptions of the shows.

·

Actors and Credits: Searches in the Cast and Credits listings of the shows.

Genre Filter: Permits filtering by genre.

Start/ End Date: Permits restriction of the search by date.

Then, click the "Search" button to initiate the search. The search engine will shortly present results similar to the example below:


The Web Admin presents up to three options for each recording it finds which enable the user to schedule the show to be recorded. Clicking one of the options will add the recording to the list of scheduled recordings, and then take the user to the Recording Manager screen in case adjustments to the recording's Priority are necessary.

Record Episode: Schedules only this single listed episode for recording.

Record All Episodes: Schedules all airings of the series represented by this recording.

·

Record All New Episodes: Schedules only first-run airings of the series represented by this recording.

Record Timeslot: Schedules only episodes appearing at this time on this channel
