The Security Settings page allows the user to enable or disable password protection of the Web Admin interface and Link client. Enabling this option is highly recommended if the Web Admin is available to the Internet.
RSS Feeds
Use this option to disable RSS feeds, including iTunes podcasts, or require authentication for their use.
File Downloads
When enabled, users will be required to provide a username and password in order to download files through the Web Admin.
Google OneBox Search
External search devices such as the Google Mini will bypass SnapStream security in order to index data on the Enterprise server. Use this option to disable a Google device from bypassing security. Note that this will prevent the device from indexing data on the Enterprise server.
Security
Turns on user management and allows the creation of user accounts.
LDAP Integration
When enabled, the specified LDAP information will be used to authenticate users and security groups may be linked to LDAP groups.
LDAP Path
This is the LDAP connection URL that will be used to authenticate users. For Active Directory this typically will be LDAP://<domain>
LDAP Type
This is the type of LDAP server that Enterprise TV will be connecting to. Only the LDAP server types listed here are supported. In the latest version, this includes Active Directory and Novell.
