To begin, select the blink emitter connected to input labeled 1 on the IR Blaster labeled 1&2. Attach the blink emitter to one of your set-top boxes near the box's IR receiver or "eye." The blink emitter does not need to be on top of the IR receiver.

Now click "Run Test." The testing apparat will attempt to tune to a series of numbers.

Tuning is working correctly if the channel displayed in the Setup Wizard test appears on the receiver's LCD display. If the receiver does not have a display or there is no way of seeing to what channel the receiver is tuning, such as on a television, it will be unable to test properly until the "Testing" section (which tests audio, video, and channel changing ability), which occurs later in the wizard..

If channels are not changing on the receiver box as a result of the test, the test failed:
1.Hit the "BACK" button until the Wizard is displaying the "Select Remote Model" screen.
2.Select the newly created profile from the list, which will be named as specified in the "Advanced Tuning Settings" step.
3.Hit NEXT to get to the advanced tuning settings section. Note: We suggest changing only one advanced setting at a time before testing again.
4.Adjust the provided values according to the guidelines.
When finished, return to this screen to begin testing again.

When the test is successful, hit NEXT and the following screen will appear:
