Using the SnapStream Link Client

Introduction
The SnapStream Link client gives you access to the Enterprise Server from your desktop PC. When the Link client is first started, a selection screen will prompt the user to connect to a SnapStream server, as in the example below:

Select the desired Enterprise Server. If the Enterprise Server is located on a different subnet, it may not appear in this list. If this is the case, select Enter Server Name to enter the server's name or IP address.

If security is enabled, the user will be prompted for a username and password.

Once the user is authenticated, the Link client will connect, displaying the Viewscape interface. Actions in this interface will control the Enterprise Server:

From here, the user can access the functions on the server as though the user were manipulating that machine's ViewScape interface locally. For information on using the Link client, refer to the User's Guide section of this document.
