The Web Server Settings page allows modification of the network and port settings of the Web Admin interface.
HTTP Administration Port
The port on which the Web Admin interface can be accessed. The default, 8129, can be changed to any accessible port. This value is most often adjusted to work better, or avoid conflict, with other programs, firewalls, or routers.
Port Forwarder
When enabled, the software will bind to port 80, the default HTTP port. This means that a user need not specify a port number when attempting to connect to the Web Admin, as the software will forward requests made to port 80 to the port value specified in HTTP Administration Port.
Use Internet Explorer Download Manager
When this option is enabled, Internet Explorer will use an ActiveX download manager to download recordings through the Web Admin. Internet Explorer cannot download files larger than 2GB correctly.
Secure HTTP Links
When Enabled, all links used in the Viewscape that connect to the Web Admin will use https:// instead of http://. If using http://, all information, including passwords, will be sent in plain text. NOTE: It is highly recommended that you enable Secure HTTP if you are using user logins. Disabling Secure HTTP reduces the security of the Enterprise Server.
