SnapStream Personal Video Station Records Television for Home Networks, PCs or Pocket PC
Bill Gates’ Windows XP Keynote Address Showcases SnapStream Software, SnapStream Now Available for Review

October 29, 2001 (HOUSTON) - SnapStream Media, a leading developer of digital entertainment software, today announced that its SnapStream PVS (Personal Video Station), was featured in Bill Gates' keynote at the worldwide Windows XP launch and is now available for review by consumer and technology publications.

SnapStream PVS, designed to record television for access on home networks, PCs or Pocket PCs, is a low-cost consumer entertainment application. SnapStream allows users to record favorite television programs for anywhere, anytime viewing on portable devices such as laptops or PDA.

“SnapStream sets apart Pocket PCs from less powerful PDAs and allows easy sharing of video in the connected home – both applications have broad appeal and represent our primary audience,” said Rakesh Agrawal, CEO and co-founder, SnapStream Media Inc. “We anticipate significant potential in both these markets – and having SnapStream showcased in Bill Gates’ keynote as an example of the power and stability of XP is a considerable vote of confidence.”

SnapStream PVS is a showcase for Windows XP's increased stability and enhanced music, graphics and video capabilities. Regis Philbin, host of ABC’s “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?,” conducted Thursday’s demo of SnapStream along with Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore. The keynote address, including the demo of SnapStream software, can be found online at: SnapStream @ the Windows XP Launch.

The latest version of SnapStream PVS is now shipping – editors interested in products review should contact the company at pr@snapstream.com.
