Firefly PC Remote Delivers CinemaNow
 

CinemaNow allows users to preview and download movies. Pick from a movie selection that includes new releases, as well as classics. The process is easy - find a movie, select it, pay, download and play. You can even watch the movie on your TV (click here to learn more about PC to TV). This article shows you how SnapStream Spotlight, the Firefly PC Remote and CinemaNow can change your PC into a movie theater.

Accessing Spotlight
To access Spotlight you will need to have Firefly PC Remote in hand and Beyond Media Basic installed. If you don’t already have Firefly PC Remote, learn about the ultimate PC Remote now.

Begin by opening Beyond Media Basic. Use the down arrow until you reach the SnapStream Spotlight option in the main menu. Click the OK button.

Choose CinemaNow  
You are now in Spotlight. The list on the left of your screen provides links to various content services. Use the navigation arrows on your Firefly PC Remote to highlight the CinemaNow option. Use the OK button to select it and rent a movie from CinemaNow.

 

 

 

 

Browse or Search
Spotlight will open the CinemaNow full-screen menu so you can find a movie. You can either browse by genre or search by movie title. Select your search preference by using the down and up arrows on Firefly and clicking the OK button.


Preview A Movie

When you have found a movie that interests you, select the image of the DVD cover. Click the OK button on your Firefly PC Remote to view movie details like price, actors, director, producers, plot synopsis and run-time. Get a glimpse of the movie by viewing the trailer.* Movie rental prices varies from movie to movie.

* Sometimes movies are not accompanied by a trailer.

Pay and Download

When you decide to rent, browse to your chosen movie and select the Download Movie option to begin the login and checkout process. Once the purchase process is complete the movie will begin downloading. You have 24 hours to watch the movie once viewing starts.

While the movie is downloading, you can continue browsing the CinemaNow website without interrupting the download. You can begin to watch movies about 15-20 minutes after downloading begins.

Control it with Firefly

All movies launch in full screen and can be controlled through the Firefly PC Remote. So you can pause, playback, rewind, stop and fast-forward, just as you would with a regular DVD player and remote control.

Built-in Parental Control

CinemaNow offers parental controls through the addition of sub-accounts. These accounts can be configured to block children from accessing movies intended for adults. The purchase process is the same for movies with mature subject matter as it is for standard movies.
