Chapter 3: Using Beyond Media

The Beyond Media main menu is where you access each of the parts of Beyond Media.

Note: Which items appear in the main menu is configurable. You can also add your own items (see Adding a Shortcut).

The default menu options are:
Spotlight - SnapStream Spotlight allows to access the internet to get media files without leaving the comfort of your living room.

Note:
You must be connected to the internet to use Spotlight.

·Browse Files - Use the Beyond Media File browser lets you browse through the files on your system.  

·Videos - Allows you to view your WMV, AVI, MPG, MPEG, ASF, M2P, and M2V files. You can view your Beyond TV SmartChapters.  

·Beyond TV - Beyond Media integrates effortlessly with SnapStream's Beyond TV to provide a unified media experience that includes television.  

·Music - Allows you to listen to, and organize your music files, create playlists with your AIFF, AU, MID, MIDI, MP3, WAV, WMA, and WPL files. You can also play an audio CD.  

·Photos - Play a slideshow during which you zoom, pan around in zoomed photos, view a slideshow with your JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, PNG, TIF, and TIFF files.  

·DVD - DVD playback allows you to watch your DVDs.  

·Running Applications - Let's you see the applications that are running on your computer [and open folders??].  

·Start Menu - Let's you access your start menu and use Beyond Media to start another application.  

·Weather - The weather plugin allows you to check out the latest weather conditions in your area.  

·Settings - The settings menu allows you to configure and customize the behavior of Beyond Media, including the items displayed in the main menu.  

·Upgrade Now! - If you are using the trial version of Beyond Media, there is a link to upgrade to the full version.  

·Exit - Closes Beyond Media.
