The Video Folder Management page displays, and enables the user to edit and create, the Video Folders that Beyond TV 3.5 uses for recording and playback.
The Video Folder labeled with "(default)" specifies the directory where recordings will be placed unless otherwise specified. There must always be a default Video Folder, which is defined in Recording Preferences.
To create a new folder, hit the "Create New Video Folder" button.
This screenshot shows the "Create a new Video Folder" page. The "Edit..." screen is the same except with respect to the "Save" button at the bottom.
Path
The directory specified for the Video Folder. Type or paste the location of the directory you wish to use (e.g. C:\BTVSHOWS). If this folder does not exist, check the box labeled "Create the directory if it does not already exist."
Description
The name Beyond TV will use when referring to this Video Folder, e.g. when it is selected as a location for a "Move" or "Copy" command in ShowSqueeze.
Recurse Subdirectories
Specifies whether or not Beyond TV is to access the content of directories contained within the specified Path for the purpose of viewing recordings.
Automatic Folder Management
Specifies whether or not Beyond TV will automatically delete ("expire") the oldest recordings to make sure it has enough room to record. The Expiration Manager must be enabled on any drive containing folders where this setting is enabled.
If editing an existing Video Folder, hit the Save Changes button when finished editing.
If creating a new Video Folder, hit the Create New Video Folder button when the desired settings have been entered.
