Scheduling Recordings Remotely

Use this feature to schedule recordings while away from the machine running Beyond TV. Remote recordings are stored on SnapStream.Net and retrieved by the user's Beyond TV machine.

Notes:

Beyond TV must be running and have an active connection to the Internet in order for this function to work properly.

Beyond TV checks SnapStream.Net for remote recordings at intervals of approximately 15 minutes. This means that if a recording is scheduled less than 15 minutes from time of scheduling, Beyond TV 4 may not pick up the remote recording in enough time to begin the recording.

Conflict Resolution is not available in SnapStream.Net. The user can choose what priority remote recordings are added at in the SnapStream.Net Settings section of the ViewScape Interface.

Ue the "TV Listings," "At A Glance," or "Search" functions to find recordings to schedule. Click on a show's title to access a window that allows scheduling. One or all of the following icons will be displayed

Record this episode Click this picture to schedule a recording of the selected show. If the episode is currently showing, recording will begin as soon as the Beyond TV machine retrieves the remote recording job. Record all episodes Click this picture to schedule recording of all future episodes. This option will only be available for episodic shows. Record all new episodes Click this picture to schedule recording of all episodes that aren't repeats. This option will only be available for episodic shows.

After making the desired selection, the message "Remote Recording Successfully Added" should be displayed. If desired, the user can click the "Remote Recordings" link at the top of the screen to check that the remote recording has indeed been saved, or whether it has successfully been retrieved by Beyond TV.
