Architecture

Beyond TV 4 has three sections to its user interface.

1.The ViewScape Interface:
This is the primary user interface (UI). When the ViewScape interface starts, the Home menu will be displayed, an example of which is displayed below.

Notes:
·Exiting the ViewScape interface, either by the menu option, ALT-F4, or hitting the "X" in the upper right corner, does not exit the program. Beyond TV will still appear as a system tray icon, and will remain active in order to be able to create and process recordings. To exit Beyond TV, use the System Tray icon, described below.
·A red dot (reddot) appears in the lower right corner of the ViewScape interface while a recording is in progress.

2.The System Tray icon:
This icon is placed in the System Tray primarily to allow launching the ViewScape interface and to allow management of Beyond TV 4.

·Open Beyond TV: This option will launch the ViewScape interface. Double-clicking on the system tray icon will also take this action.
·Advanced Settings: This option opens the Web Admin interface to its Settings page.
·iTunes Settings: This option opens the Web Admin interface to its iTunes Integration Settings page. NOTE: This option will only appear after the DVD Burning and H.264 Plug-In is activated.
·Stop all recordings: Halts every recording currently in progress.
·About Beyond TV: Displays information about the software, including version number and copyright notices. Also allows access to the System Information Uploader and the Backup / Restore Settings functions.
·Exit: Exits Beyond TV. Note that this is the only way to exit completely, as closing the ViewScape window only closes the ViewScape interface.

3.The Web Admin Interface:
This interface is designed for advanced users. It handles detailed configuration and enables remote access and streaming functions and is described in the "For Advanced Users" section of this document.
