Meet our customer success guru, Jill McDevitt

Hello SnapStream universe! Here at SnapStream, our people are everything, and we like to show them off. This week, meet our our customer success guru, Jill!

How did you find SnapStream?

My perfectly timed birthday got me this job!  The hiring manager was a former colleague and while she was scrolling LinkedIn she noticed on her feed that it was my birthday.  Thinking back on our work together she realized that I would be perfect for the position, so she gave me a call to wish me Happy Birthday and to see if I would be interested in hearing about her opportunity. A month later I started at SnapStream!

What is your role here?

Senior Customer Success Manager.  One of my main jobs is to guide new customers from the initial sale to successful implementation of the SnapStream system at their workplace.

How have you grown with SnapStream?

SnapStream utilizes some great technology tools to create great experiences for both the customer and the employee. There is a somewhat steep learning curve when you start here to learn the tools for everyday use, like GuideCX, Notion, HubSpot and Loom.  But I’ve also grown in the way I think and react to obstacles in my path. SnapStream puts emphasis of our values on individual employee contributions, such as “experimenting without fear” and “being an owner”.  It has taught me to change my mindset to look at obstacles as challenges in a new way and try to find creative ways to solve them on my own.

What is your favorite thing about SnapStream?

I love how everyone here values people being exactly who they are in all their uniqueness, it is a safe space for everyone. Related to that, the leadership team actually values the employee experience and use their time and money toward tools and activities that will help make the workplace here an enjoyable experience.  They realize that successful employees are happy employees – so they make decisions around what will make SnapStream the best employee experience.

What do you like to do when you aren’t at SnapStream?

I’m obsessed with dogs though currently only have one Maltese named Waylon. I spend time with my grandkids in person or on Google Duo any time I can.  I love summer with all it’s warm sunny activities like going to the beach and attempting to master stand up paddle boarding. My hobbies include reading long book series like Harry Potter and Outlander, as well as craft projects with friends and quilting.
